This thread is intended as an information resource, collecting guidance from the major event industry associations. These groups have been lobbying on behalf of the industry, and many of them have their own up-to-date hubs regarding COVID-19.

UFI is the global association for the exhibitions industry, and its COVID-19 hub page collects useful resources and reports to help you manage the current crisis. These include:

Impact of COVID-19 on exhibitions report – Accurate data about the economic impact of cancellations and postponements, based on UFI data. The report states that $134bn of orders at exhibitions ill be lost up to the end of Q2 2020.

Health and safety venue guide – This report, created alongside the International Association of Convention Centres (AIPC) offers guidance for venue managers on health and safety during COVID-19.



The International Congress and Convention Association is a global community for the international association meetings industry. 

Crisis management for meetings White Paper – ICCA’s crisis management White Paper was published before the current COVID-19 crisis, but it contains a wealth of useful information to help you make difficult decisions and distribute information.



The Meetings Industry Association (mia) is an association representing the UK events industry.

mia resources hub – The mia’s resource hub collates letters it has sent to government on behalf of the industry, as well as the latest information and advice from Public Health England, VisitBritain and more.
