How have other freelancers handled cancelled events in regards to collecting for work already done? I have a standard “Kill Fee” that is 1/2 the total job but it mainly relates to the client deciding to cancel for some reason. Not a medical emergency.

I have been offering a 25% discount to long standing clients to aid with relief and in hopes of getting paid sooner.
